Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU) is geared up for the seven-day National Service Scheme (NSS) youth camp to be held at its campus here on Wednesday. Gujarat State Chief Minister Shree Narendra Modi will be attending the Campus during his visit to the surat city.
Over 4,000 students from 55 colleges will participating at NSS camp. Activities like yoga, meditation and informative lecture series have been organized during the NSS Camp at Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU). The yoga and meditation sessions are scheduled from 6.30 am to 8 am which will be followed by social service between 9 am and 12 noon. A mega blood donation camp has also been organized on the varsity campus.
In the afternoons, lecture series will take place between 3 pm and 5 pm. On Thursday, veteran journalist Bhagvatikumar Sharma will preside over the lecture session while Gunvant Shah will talk on international youth culture’. Columnist Jay Vasavda and information commissioner Bhagyesh Jha will lecture on celebration of survival and youth’ on Friday.
Dinesh Prajapati and Suresh Prajapati, experts on positive thinking and personality development, will deliver lectures on their field of expertise on Saturday. Subsequently, Samani Mangal Pragyaji, vice-chancellor of Jain Vishwa Bharti, Rajasthan, will lecture on techniques to improve memory power.
Purnima Nadkarni, gynaecologist, will talk on HIV/AIDS awareness on Sunday. The same day Rutumbhara Mehta, head of psychiatry department, Government Medical College (GMC), will lecture on women empowerment. Samani Pratibha Pragyaji, Jain Vishwa Bharti, Rajasthan, will deliver a lecture on personality development in the afternoon.
On the last day of the camp on Monday, Swami Parmatmanandji will deliver lecture on spiritual knowledge and youth. It be followed by another lecture on country’s development through character building by Swamiji Nikhleshwaranandji.
