Gujarat assembly library to be digitised

Today on the World and Copyright Day, Ashok Bhatt, speaker of the assembly declared that Gujarat assembly library are going to be digitised. The Gujarat Assembly library has more documentary books, which include all the discussions since the inception of the Gujarat Assembly. Journalists and researchers are allowed to use the library.

When Gujarat was established as separate state on May 1st, 1960 , The Gujarat assembly library had around 4000 books. Today when Gujarat Government is celebrating Swarnim Gujarat – Golden Jubilee year , the figure has reached 75,000. Apart from this the assembly also subscribes to around 100 dailies and 200 periodicals.
