Lok sabha election in Gujarat on 30th April 2009
As per the Loksabha Schedule , released by Election Comission of India , the lok sabha poll in the gujarat state will hel on 30th april 2009.
Gujarat as a Loksabha constituency has 26 loksabha seats . According to the official report , Gujarat has 3.63 crore voters.
The election commission will setup the election booth in Asiatic Lions fame Gir forest area of Junagadh district just for 1 voter.
Some highlights of Lok sabha election :-
- Total No. of Lok sabha seats = 543
- Total No. of voters = 71 crore
- Lok sabha election will be held in 5 phases . Gujarat fall in 3rd phase.
- Vote Counting will take place on May 16. Election Results will be announced on the same day
- BJP has launched www.friendsofbjp.org and Congress has launched www.voteforcongress.in
I think Gujarat is going to be a clean sweep for BJP, owing to the Nano factor and also the work done by Narendra Modi.
